True to its commitments as a cultural actor, Les Boutographies will present carefully thought-out works, elaborated at length and driven by exceptional sensitivities to what constructs and questions us, as individuals, families and societies, at a time in history when everything seems to be wavering. It is in these moments that the artist becomes, more than ever, a recourse against the loss of bearings and manipulations of all kinds.

The authors we present have in common an ability to observe the present with particular acuity and to think about the long term, not to forget what has made the political history of our continent. As individuals, they also know how to question their own intimate lives, and deploy their experience on the scale of questions that are becoming more acute, in particular, on paternity, parenthood or the notion of virility, questions posed to everyone, whatever their gender or how they define it (or not). Climate and environmental issues will also be present, not to give in to the spirit of the times, but because they are a recurring concern of the authors who approach us, and for good reason.

This year, the screenings will benefit from a privileged setting, since we will have a suitable, large and specially equipped room for this function. Public curious about new forms and new inspirations, we look forward to seeing many of you at the Échelles de la Ville, between Polygone and Antigone, as well as in all partner locations.
