The LUX Network association is a national professional network of festivals and fairs which works to disseminate, transmit and promote photography.
The aim of the LUX network is to bring together numerous photographic events with varied programmes around a common desire to share cooperation and solidarity.
The wealth of this network lies in the differences that make up its members. Disparities in budget, size, territory, but which create knowledge, know-how that will unite them as well as value around common issues.
The uniqueness of the LUX Network lies in the mix of genres: although the festivals and fairs pursue very different objectives of means and results, the energy and desire to build something together to contribute to the development of photography is undeniable.
Aware of the social, ethical and environmental impacts of their activities, as well as their link with local, national and sometimes international economic development, the members of the LUX network aim to question, share and develop their practices and uses to better meet the expectations of the public and stakeholders.
The pooling of reflection, the sharing of experiences and collective actions are the values of the LUX Network for greater recognition of the role of visual arts festivals and fairs in the cultural development of the territory and in the current public policies of the State and local authorities.
