La Gacilly (56)

Founded in 2004, the La Gacilly photo festival offers to each of its now 300,000 yearly visitors an immersive and deambulatory experience in the heart of about thirty open air, large galleries, thus displaying the best of contemporary photo creation in a permanent concert of great artistic standards.
The -sometimes 80 square metres- canvases thus occupy the streets, gardens and alleys of La Gacilly, transformed into a "village in images", whose magnificent built heritage provides a perfect setting for the more than 1000 images exhibited as much as it is enhanced by the works of the photographers presented. The public space becomes a scenic space, shared and accessible to all, free of charge.
The festival can therefore avail itself of being followed by a crowd of loyal connoisseurs as well as complete neophytes. It benefits from a strong and constant capital of sympathy among its varied audiences.
