Mesnographies

Les Mesnographies is the first free, open-air, author photography festival in the Yvelines.

Vector of emotions, photography unites, witnesses, gives food for thought. The matters showed in this expositions are related to current news, to our questionnings, to social facts. Every year since 2020, Mesnographies present the works of about twenty photographers from the whole world. Through their eyes strong themes emerge, such as the search for identity, recreating the past to give meaning to the present. The thirst for freedom that pushes some to cross borders. The family, the center of all happiness and all misfortune. Artificial intelligence versus global warming. War and its omnipresence.

As in the theatre, some proposals are as many stories told. Here the photographer is the director. From this Mesnographic stroll will be born questions, emotions, the unexpected and another way of seeing the world. The festival offers a conscious and committed photographic journey. Always the same wish: to continue to advocate inclusion, tolerance and acceptance of the other as they are.
