Nîmes (30)
© Patrice Loubon
Named Les Villes Invisibles, in homage to Italo Calvino, as an attempt to follow up on this founding and emancipatory story, the program opens its doors wide to cinema, cross-disciplinary research and contemporary art, while continuing to promote and value the emergence of photographic creation. This is an event for all audiences that is part of a local plan for the population of Nîmes and its urban area, and further afield in the department and the Occitanie region, and which will also aim to be visible on a national and international level. Through exhibitions, film screenings, ephemeral art installations, conferences and a symposium, educational workshops and guided tours, photography creation workshops and finally a book fair on architecture, Les Villes Invisibles strives to embody the relationship that links images to the city and architecture, these three territories understood in the broad sense.
